Last weekend I made a visit to the Ohrid and Prespa lake in Macedonia. Friday night we (me and Pascale) arrived in Ohrid after a nice hitchhiking trip. There we met Marie and Romanie who had arranged an apartment to sleep. In the night we make a walk around Ohrid and after we eat in a very nice restaurant. (for only 5 euro each person we get so much good food).

The next day we woke up early and the weather was great. We start again to make a walk in the town. First we found one beautiful photo gallery with amazing photo’s if you are in Ohrid you have to visit this place. After we were looking at an old church and met somebody who offered us a free guide. He showed us the entire old town and told us all of the history it was great to hear the history of this very old city. At 12 o’clock a old ritual was starting (fishermen diving in the lake to find a cross) (the real ritual was one day before but during the communist time this was forbidden because it’s a religious event. Then the fishermen make it one day later and said they where just making a dive in the lake) There was free fish and wine, great Macedonian music, a lot of sunshine and dancing.

Sometimes you are at the aiport hearing the last call for people who not appeared for the flight. I always thought how it's possible to miss you flight but unfortunately I find it out.

After two great weeks back in Holland I was preparing myself to fly back to Greece at sunday morning 6 january. On saturday I packed my suitcase, checked my ticket....... and find out 6 January is a saturday and not a sunday. Ooopss my flight left this morning already. I still can't believe I made so stupid mistake but it's possible.
Now it's 6 o'clock monday morning 8 January I'm lying all night already in the departure hall of airport Dusseldorf. In two hours my flight will finally leave to Thessaloniki and I learned that: 6 January is a saturday, the couches of the airport are quite hard and my greek sim card I lost two weeks before was in my shoe!

Last sunday Pascale became 21!! So saturday night we had a nice birtday party in Prespa.

I tried to make a chocolate cake for Pascale but it was a little bit to long in the oven.....
